WINNER OF GIVEAWAY
Myeshia Babers was the inaugural winner of our 1st Annual Grid Rental x The Pioneers Collective equipment giveaway in (2024). When she submitted her comedy short film A Fowl Play, we were instantly drawn to it because of its unique charm. The relatable story follows basketball enthusiast Ezra, who becomes so engrossed in the game that his girlfriend, Tiana, devises a fiery scheme to win back his attention, transforming their living room into a hilarious battleground of love and chicken wings.​

In addition to winning the competition, CEO and award-winning filmmaker Tray Williams of The Pioneers Collective joined the project as a producer, ensuring its successful completion. Now that A Fowl Play is finished, it is set to officially premiere at festivals in late 2024. Check out the artwork and trailer below!
